The Order was a 6/7 game. I think QB is could be about the same from what I'm reading. Not enough game for the money.
^^^^^^^
This guy gets it. Licensing of software is the reason they make consoles. PC or consoles, they bank because it Window for Pete's sake. Plus they offer plenty incentives to get it on the X1 since more money's on the console side.
Double Whammy! My internet went down this weekend.
Does anybody know if the PS Store extends rentals when PSN is down?
There is a long-standing love there between Kojima and Sony.
I was first thinking we may have another Respawn or Bungie, where the first game doesn't meet the hype by a fair margin. But the difference is that both those AAA developers are now married to companies who modus operandi isn't that far from Konami's. We already know Sony is different and will allocate extra time and consideration for a game such as Last Guardian.
For Kojima, it will...
Dud.
TR sales may not be that bad, since the ranking doesn't break out platform.
Timed exclusivity: Instead of being competitive by adding value for its user base, a company decides to detract value from the user base of its competitors. It is feckless, anti-consumer practice. Morever, it retards the brand value of the game. Exclusivity should be a developer decision based on their resources and capabilities, not cash under the table.
It's a big world. Enough for everybody.
Userbase is part of it too.
@Abizzel
These certainly aren't dumb people, but it is admittedly hard to tell as a consumer. Short term, it may seem dumb, but I think it may recoup some numbers going into and out of the holidays.
Underworld did the same jumping about 30% in sales at the end of December, a month after release right during shopping time.
Readily recognizable by parents, Tomb Raider has more mindshare than Halo and Fallout. I guess its their strategy to...
Okay...! Getting a PSTV next time I see one.
Other than some dirt of Lara's shoulder and a lower res...yeah! Looks good.
Buy later if you still want it then.
Really no reason anyone should be mad about a game going multiplatform unless somehow the quality suffers. That is not an issue any fanboy is privy to.
Going multiplatform means more market and more money. This will in turn increase the future likelihood of more games by the developer. This is a positive to those who love whatever particular game.
I liked everything about the first one except the linearity. Looks like we have a more open world Mirror's Edge, which is exciting. There were so many times I was stuck then in less than a day was rewarded by making it through. Fist pump!
Also the game that won last gen's best name for a character award for Rope Burn...! Super stoked! (Do kids say that anymore?)
Thought they said the cloud doesn't work on SP...?
How did you get a statement of support out of that...? The 'always on' thing was obviously for Microsoft and not the gamers from the very beginning. Here a dev recognizes a consumer benefit for always being online, and you think he is a supporter.
Personally, I like SP to be between 12-15 hours. Then it doesn't suck up time that can go to other games. As a child I had all this time to play games, but little money to get them. Now, it's the extreme opposite.
Some of my favorite games I'll explore open world until I get bored. GTA is always like that.
Too early in this gen I think. We will see retail games, probably Christmas.
Infamous was maybe my favorite new IP last gen. Quantum Break isn't on my radar as a buy until it gets about $35, same reasons as the Order.
